Now I will be talking about why the Persian War started in the first place and how long it lasted. The Persian War lasted from 492-449 B.C. The Persian War kept going on because once they conquered one area they wanted more and more and they kept conquering territories. The Persian War started in the first place because the Persians and their King Darius wanted to broaden their empire and territory. In the Persian War, there were many battles such as the Thermopylae Battle, Marathon Battle, Salamis Battle, Ionic Revolt, and the Plataea Battle. There were many important people in these battles such as King Leonidas which was the leader of the Battle of Thermopylae. And one very important person named Herodotus which was a historian so he recorded all of the battles in the Persian War. And that is how we know about the Persian War.
